When I was a child, I lived in a kampong in Radin Mas and it was less crowded then. People were more warm-hearted as we cared about each other and days were also more carefree.
In the 1960s, bloody gang fights and racial conflicts between the Malays and Chinese were rampant. Those were the scary times but we came through.
I graduated from a Junior College and achieved top grades for English, Chinese and Malay. In my first job, I was a kindergarten teacher in a CC.
Currently, I am a Family Services volunteer.
